HE CHOSE THE NAILS

TO GIVE YOU THE HAMMER!

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the POWER that works within us! Ephesians 3:20

This power that works in us to receive this blessing of abundant life more than what we could even ask or think or hope for is not just positive thinking! Although we are directed through scripture to take every thought captive to “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to think on Whatever is: true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable…if anything is excellent or praiseworthy… we are instructed in Philippians 4:8 To think on THESE things!

This power talked about in Ephesians 3:20 that works in us to receive His blessing of abundant life is not having or sending someone good energy. This power that lives in us is NOT meditating on positive thoughts! IT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. It’s like having a, humongous, big as GOD hammer to smash, crush and conquer! To knock those automatic negative thoughts, desires of the flesh, habits and hang Ups into oblivion and turn them into millions of beautiful, minuscule fragments of son light that burst forth into a kaleidoscope of colorful patterns of peace love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness!

It is the very power that raised Jesus from the dead. If you are a believer that power through the Holy Spirit lives in you! Jesus said this to his disciples.

“I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you… But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what he hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you” (John 16:7, 13—15).

The same power that rose JESUS from the grave lives in us who call Him Lord!

“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT)
